Polycarbonates advantages compared to glass

Polycarbonate is half the weight of glass and 250 times more resistant. This characteristic makes polycarbonate the ideal material for safety glazing. For zones exposed to shocks where visiblity and protection are vital, glazing in anti-abrasive polycarbonate soon proves it's worth.

Polycarbonate can be treated and transformed before applying anti-abrasive surface protection.

Different types of work can be carried out, thermoforming, bending, chamfering, giving the glazing a total resistance across all of it's surface.

TRAITEMENT ANTIABRASION

Since first developping safety glazing in polycarbonate we have always given maximum priority to the protection of police forces.
The anti-abrasive treatment applied to polycarbonate glazing reinforces the security aspects in a working situation.

Plastrance's safety glazing may be adapted and installed in all types of vehicles. Good optical characteristics, no chipping in case of a physical shock, optimal surface qualities, very strong resistance to wear and tear, - are the advantages of our safety glazing whether flat or thermoformed.

Surface chemical resistance to Petrol, acetone, benzene, ethanol or xylene, chloroform, ethylene glycol, alcohol, soap solutions……..

Rupture resistance. Tests using mannequin. Shock resistant to stones, metal bars, cocktail Molotovs, caterpults, paving stones, etc.

Abrasion resistance. The surface hardness of the safety glazing is a result of our optimal production methods.

Optical performance. Clear vision without deformaton.

A PROVEN RESISTANCE
